Elmview Farms Inc., a family‑run operation in Wallenstein, Ontario, specializes in turning excess horse manure and bedding into high‑quality compost. The finished product is primarily used for mulching flower beds and delivered directly to retail customers in the city. It also serves as a soil amendment and a key ingredient in soil blends, helping improve soil health and structure.

As demand grew, Elmview Farms needed equipment that could keep pace with production while offering mobility and efficiency.

Elmview Farms had been operating with an older trommel screen and relied on an excavator to stack compost piles. While functional, the setup was inefficient, took up valuable space and required significant manual handling. They began looking for equipment that would improve efficiency, reduce labor and provide reliable performance without sacrificing mobility.

Elmview Farms partnered with Toromont CAT, their local equipment dealer, to replace their old trommel with the Anaconda TD620 Tracked Trommel Screen and added the FTR150 Feeding Conveyor to their fleet as well.

After six months of operation, Elmview Farms has seen measurable improvements in efficiency, mobility and reliability. The compact design of the TD620 saves space while delivering consistent output, and the FTR150 Feeding Conveyor has streamlined stacking operations. Together, the equipment allows Elmview Farms to screen approximately 100 yd3 per hour with ease.
