This spring, Toromont Crushing Division showed off its new line of Anaconda screening products at events around Eastern Canada. This was an opportunity for the Toromont Sales team, Anaconda Sales, Technical departments and Toromont customers to get together and celebrate the launch of Toromont Crushing Division becoming the authorized dealer for Anaconda Equipment throughout Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.
This is an exciting milestone in Toromont Crushing’s life with the Anaconda Equipment portfolio rounding off their aggregate processing line with compact mobile screens and conveying systems.
Alistair Forsyth, Group President and Managing Director of Anaconda had this to say on the latest partnership, ‘Everyone at Anaconda is extremely excited about the partnership with Toromont CAT for Eastern Canada as we have once again found a partner that shares the Anaconda values. With over 3000 machines placed in over 50 countries worldwide, and almost 1000 of them being sold in North America over the last decade, Anaconda has secured its place firmly on the global marketplace as a supplier of quality affordable portable aggregate equipment because it seeks to partner with exclusive dealers in each region that personify the same core values about the importance of supporting its customers not just during the sale but long after the sale has been made.
Toromont CAT has taken a significant volume of machines and parts into stock this year all with CAT stage 5 power systems and are positioned with a great deal more service centers than any other aggregate equipment dealer in Eastern Canada to sell, deliver and support the Anaconda line to their customer base.
We look forward to supporting Toromont CAT as we together grow the Anaconda brand throughout Eastern Canada.”
Currently Toromont CAT offer the Metso line to their customers. Eric Rennie, Crushing and Paving Products Manager said “The Metso line is great for a big aggregate producer type line, but the Anaconda lineup will allow Toromont to offer trommels and some of the smaller screens for a full product range. ”
At this time, Toromont Crushing Division is carrying many Anaconda products in stock including trommels, tracked scalpers, screeners, tracked conveyors, wheeled conveyors and feeders.
One of the many positives about the Anaconda Line being implemented to the Toromont Crushing Division are the use of CAT engines in all machines, remarks Rob Hodgson, Crushing Specialist. “The engines make Anaconda products a natural fit for the company. Our service technicians are already trained on the Caterpillar engines,” he said. “It’s all about serviceability, and at Toromont CAT, we’ve got all those white service trucks on the road every day. And we’re great at what we do.”
Rennie added the Caterpillar engines create an advantage for the customer, since Toromont CAT technicians can address all issues. “Some of the challenges with other machines that are out there is your engine could be supplied from an alternative supplier” he said. Therefore, different dealers have to be brought in to service differing elements of the equipment. “With us, we can service with one truck and one tech. So that’s a big advantage that we have.”
It’s a vision shared by Anaconda, whose philosophy has always been to “make life easy” for its end users. Offering simplistic yet productive equipment that’s reliable and can be easily operated. Alistair Forsyth, says “How we differentiate ourselves as a company isn’t always through quirky USP’s in our equipment, it’s more in making it fundamentally user-friendly.” Rennie sees Anaconda’s operator-friendly design as a major plus for customers.
