PROJECT SUMMARY

Brucknell Lime is a family‑owned and operated limestone quarry that has been serving Victoria for over 35 years. Founded in 1985 by Lindsay and Bill Askew, the business is now run by Bill and his son Billy, making it a third‑generation operation. The quarry sits on the family’s property, which also includes a working dairy farm.

With demand for agricultural lime increasing, Brucknell Lime needed to upgrade its screening and stockpiling equipment to improve efficiency, increase capacity and reduce operating costs. Their existing screen was no longer meeting production requirements, and the team wanted a solution that would deliver consistent product quality while minimising wear and downtime.

In late 2021, Brucknell Lime invested in an Anaconda SR520 Two-Deck Finishing Screen and an Anaconda ST50 Wheeled Conveyor, supplied and commissioned by Onetrak. The SR520 offers a significant boost in production capacity, handling up to 408 tph (450 US tph) while delivering cleaner, more consistent product quality. Its design features—including a Tier 3 JCB 444 DieselMAX engine, remote‑controlled tipping grid and spacious motor area—enhance both safety and serviceability for operators.

Complementing the screen, the ST50 Wheeled Conveyor provides a 15.2 m (50′) conveyor belt that allows for larger stockpiles and reduces excavator workload, streamlining the overall material handling process. Together, the equipment creates a more efficient workflow, reducing bottlenecks and minimising wear on other machinery.

Onetrak is the official supplier of Anaconda Equipment in Australia.

“The screen has a remote-controlled tilting grid which helps clean out the rocks rather than having rocks stuck in the shaker box. There is no build up. The remote control is also a great safety feature,”
– Bill Askew, Owner
“Thanks to upgrading our equipment, we have doubled the amount of trucks coming into site. We’re working smarter – not harder!”
– Bill Askew, Owner
