Anaconda Equipment Launches the I12R Impact Crusher

Anaconda has just released its latest product in the crushing sector – the Anaconda I12R Impact Crusher. The I12R is a mid-sized Impact Crusher designed to offer operators and contractors an excellent reduction ratio for feed material, continuous production and a consistent product shape. Developed predominately for quarrying and recycling applications, this versatile crusher has been fabricated with a 1,090mm (43”) diameter 4-bar rotor on a 1,140mm (45’’) wide Universal Crusher Impact Chamber.

The I12R is fitted with a large hopper and a robust vibrating pan feeder. The vibrating pan feeder contains a two-tier grizzly section to help facilitate the movement of feed material towards the crushing chamber. The grizzly section also allows for fines and smaller particles to be eliminated from entering the chamber by discharging them onto the side dirt conveyor. The I12R has an optional pre-screen available before the chamber which will aid in fines removal and reduce unnecessary wear, reducing maintenance costs.

The I12R operates with Cummins brand engines to produce near-zero emission levels and low-noise, making the I12R suitable for urban and restricted job sites. Fitted with new after-treatment systems, the I12R eliminates Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) for easy maintenance, a cooler and quieter engine with an increased torque capacity for a higher throughput.

The EGR recirculation kit has been designed with the end users’ needs in mind. The addition of a double-deck screen box after the crushing chamber allows the material to feed into the auxiliary recirculation conveyor or allow the material to be discharged to the tail conveyor as finished product. The recirculation screen can also be quickly detached, allowing the machine to function as a standard I12 unit.

Anaconda Managing Director, Alistair Forsyth said, “The Anaconda I12R comes fitted with a 43” x 45” McLanahan Universal Crusher Impact Chamber. With over 185 years experience installing over 7,000 Impact Crushers worldwide, this partnership brings to the market a true workhorse of a tracked Impact Crusher with over a century of crushing knowledge and experience. The 4.26m (14′) stepped deck Vibrating Grizzly Feeder can be fitted with Bofar bars, fingers or a punch plate, along with a bottom deck mesh to pre-screen material before it is fed into the crusher chamber. The 4-bar variable speed 43” rotor delivers high performance impact crushing in a variety of applications. The I12R comes complete with a double-deck screenbox that allows for both the top and bottom deck material to be fed back into the returns conveyor to maximise the screening performance or alternatively a secondary product to be discharged either to the side of the machine or onto an optional discharge conveyor.”

Anaconda Crushing Engineer, Barry McCullagh added, “The Anaconda I12R combines the productivity of the super-efficient, unique direct-drive Universal 45” impact crushing chamber with the versatility of a full screening and recirculating system which allows operators to produce a crushed and screened product with one machine. The combination of the impactor with the high energy screen and recirculating conveyor offers maximum productivity on a small footprint. The return offers the option to recirculate oversize to the hopper or radial out 90 degrees to stockpile material.”
