This position is responsible for the daily coordination of the fitting area. This includes training and monitoring production processes.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for providing a safe working environment, ensuring standard work is being performed, identifying, and resolving quality issues, addressing line stop/ lost production issues, collecting data and maintaining visual displays.
This position requires a complete understanding of all assembly and sub assembly processes in the area as well as a working knowledge in the usage of production machinery, handheld tools, power tools, fabricating equipment, and air tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works on daily production schedules and estimates hours and materials needed to complete tasks.
- Interprets drawings, specifications, and job orders such as engineering change notices to team members and conducts inspections of works.
- Providing recommendation for improvement on production methods, equipment performance and quality.
- Help improve working conditions and use of equipment and tools to improve workflow, efficiency, and safety.
- Train new members of the fitting assembly team and demonstrate work routines.
- Maintain records of day-to-day activities including time and materials and process steps.
- Set up and or verify settings on production machines.
- Inspect materials used in manufacturing.
- Operate a variety of handheld and power tools
- Performs other duties as assigned that supports the overall objective of the position
Criteria:
- Experience working in a similar engineering industry.
- Basic machine operators’ skills required.
- Technical ability and good understanding of production processes and equipment.
- A strong team working orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Due to company expansion we seek to recruit a Quality Inspector to join our expanding team. As a Quality Inspector you will report directly to the Quality Engineering Manager to help us improve customer satisfaction across our product range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all products meet quality criteria whist liaising with production in order to improve quality standards throughout the factory.
- Providing ongoing support on all quality issues.
- Improving product quality by making recommendations for change.
- Actively addressing quality concerns on a day-day basis.
- Approving products in the production process and finished products by conducting visual checks, measurement checks, communicating required adjustments and rejecting unacceptable materials.
- Routine inspection of internally fabricated parts.
- Checking sub-assemblies, final assemblies and pressures.
- Returning products for re-work and supporting re-work activities as and when required.
- Quality inspections carried out on sub-contractor work.
- Responsibility to escalate any on going issues.
- Supporting in quality investigations as required.
- Final run and test of machines.
- PDI reports and other associated paperwork.
- Control and issue of serial plates for final machine.
- Adhering to Anaconda health and safety procedures.
Criteria:
- (Desirable) Previous experience working within a similar manufacturing environment. Training can be provided.
- Knowledge & experience of manufacturing processes and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:
- Taking new projects through the entire design process from brief to production.
- Working as a team and communicating with all stakeholders of the company.
- Project managing multiple projects with your line manager.
- Reviewing designs and updating products to meet and exceed the customers’ expectations.
- Supporting multiple departments within the company from Sales, Purchasing, Fabrication to Assembly as required, ensuring information is being passed successfully to the appropriate departments.
- Lead as part of a team the creation and updates of technical design documentation such as engineering calculations, drawings both technical and hydraulic, engineering change notices, service manuals and of material through the process of designing, prototyping, and reviewing mechanical components.
- The role will also involve taking ownership and accountability of design or improvement projects as directed. Continuous improvement of activities ensuring product, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring compliance for all projects in terms of relevant specifications standards and safety regulations.
- Seeking innovative and creative solutions to help bring about change and service improvements.
- Stay knowledgeable of machine component advancements and competitor design trends; apply latest technology to new and existing designs where appropriate to stay current and innovative.
- Comply with all health and safety standards.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Criteria:
- Relevant degree in engineering or similar related discipline with extensive experience in mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge and experience of Screening machinery.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and awareness of electrical systems.
- Previous experience working within a team to deliver projects within agreed quality, cost and timeframe targets.
- Ability to track and manage multiple projects.
- Extensive experience in the use of £D modelling design software, Creo, AutoCAD and Solidworks.
- Previous knowledge of heavy, manufacturing, production processes and PDM systems.
- Appreciation for manufacturing and production techniques.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Can do attitude.
- You will be required to have a permit to work in the UK.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience designing mobile equipment.
- Working knowledge of Kaizen/Agile working techniques.
- Testing experience.
